We appreciate and welcome the support and spirit of service of awesome individuals like yourself, who desire to partner with us to make TJLC Vision 20/20 the best educational kink event for BIPoC that it can be. Many volunteer opportunities are available for you to lend your positive energy, knowledge and know-how.

VOLUNTEER BASICS

  • All volunteer positions require a commitment to provide 15 hours of service during TJLC Vision 20/20 2.0
  • Once your volunteer application is approved, you will be required to reserve your All-Access Pass with the minimum required deposit
  • After confirmation of your All-Access Pass reservation, your Volunteer Credit will be applied to your All-Access Pass reservation.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

  • Conference Ambassadors
    Conference Ambassadors work in the Registration Department and are the initial visible representatives of TJLC Vision 20/20 2.0. Your duties include welcoming registrants and directing them to the Check-in area, assisting with the completion of waivers, and checking in attendees. Additional duties include working in the Command Central Suite to respond to attendee inquires throughout the event.
  • Operations/Logistics Team
    The Operations/Logistics Team members carry out the tasks of load-in and load-out of equipment and supplies for the various areas of the conference; ensuring that the required supplies are where they are needed when they are needed during the conference, and set-up and breakdown of the dungeons; must be able to lift/carry 30lbs.
  • Audio Visual Support Team
    The Audio Visual Support Team members work with the Event Photographers, Event Videographers, and DJ's to set-up/break down work areas.
  • Security/DM Team
    Security/DM Team members are responsible to ensure that only authorized attendees access the designated conference room floors and meeting areas. Team Members also monitor the Play Spaces.
  • Classroom Monitors
    Classroom Monitors ensures that each classroom has the required equipment and supplies for the classes. They also take a headcount of class attendees, handout and retrieve class feedback forms.
  • Hospitality Team
    Hospitality Team members are the Ninja's of the Event Activity Suites, They assist the Hospitality Director to prepare and refresh every suite for the events that are scheduled. Duties shall also include preparing food for each suite activity and refreshing the serving tables during the activity.

Please note the following Volunteer Terms and Conditions:

  • Application to Volunteer at TJLC Vision 20/20 2.0 is done via the Volunteer Application Page.
  • All TJLC Vision 20/20 2.0 Volunteers must be at least 19 years of age on July 23, 2020 to be eligible to hold a volunteer position at TJLC Vision 20/20 2.0
  • Volunteer positions at TJLC Vision 20/20 2.0 will NOT be assigned on a first come, first served basis.
  • The Journey! Leather Conference will select applicants who successfully pass our vetting/screening process to ensure that we have a cadre of volunteers with the highest possible level of integrity. Submitting a Volunteer Application does not guarantee a volunteer position at TJLC Vision 20/20 2.0
  • Volunteers selected to serve at TJLC Vision 20/20 2.0 will be sent an Invitation to Register by email no later than March 25, 2020
  • If selected as a volunter, you will be required to reserve your All-Access Pass no later than March 31, 2020.
  • After confirmation of your All-Access Pass reservation, your account will receive the Volunteer Credit of $75.00 
  • Applicants not selected to volunteer may be placed on a wait list and notified if a volunteer position becomes available.
  • After March 31, 2020, any volunteer who has not fulfilled the registration requirements will have forfieted their volunteer position, and that volunteer position may be offered to applicants on the wait list.
  • The Journey! Leather Conference requires that all volunteers commit to a minimum of 15 service hours during TJLC Vision 20/20 2.0
  • The Journey! Leather Conference reserves the right to uninvite a volunteer for any reason.
  • Volunteers are required to follow all the rules, regulations and policies of The Journey! Leather Conference during TJLC Vision 20/20 2.0
  • All requests for refunds are subject to the terms and conditions of The Journey! Leather Conference's Cancellation & Refund Policy.
