You must 19 years of age on or before July 23, 2020 to attend The Journey! Leather Conference. By registering for The Journey! Leather Conference, you are certifying that you are 19 years of age or older.
We at The Journey! Leather Conference take everyone’s right to privacy important. You agree to keep everyone’s privacy as well.
You agree to arrive at the event in “street legal” clothing. You also agree that you will be in “street legal” clothing or wearing a cover garment in all public parts of the hotel, this includes but not limited to, the pool area, the lobby, and the restaurant. If you are not sure, you are expected to ask a staff member for clarification.
You agree that everyone attending this event has the expectation of privacy. The use of cell phones in the classes, workshops, and play spaces is srtictly prohibited. Cell phones must be turned off during classes, and workshops. No cell phones are allowed in the play space. There is no exception to this rule.
Recording devices are strictly prohibited. The Journey! Leather Conference will have volunteers with express permission to use cameras and video recording devices under explicit rules. These volunteers are knows as our Photography Staff and will be well marked as such. If you wish to have a photo taken, do not use your own device, speak with a member of the photography staff and they will be happy to take your photo and send the photo to you. Photo releases of all individuals in the photo must be on file for our staff to take a picture.
The Journey! Leather Conference does not allow photography at any time or any place during the event except by those designated as the Photography Staff. If you do not wish to have your photograph taken, please notify us in your registration form, during check-in and on the waiver you will sign prior to being able to enter the event.
The Host Hotel has its own policies that you must abide by. In addition, you agree that any damage done to the Host Hotel property caused by you will be your sole responsibility. This includes, but not limited to damage caused by smoking in your room or any type of play activity conducted in your room. The Host Hotel will have guest that are not event attendees. You agree that what happens in our event will not be shared with those guests. Doing so can get you evicted from the event and the Host Hotel . You also agree that because the Host Hotel has public areas, such as the pool, lobby and restaurant, you will dress in appropriate attire when visiting these areas and not be in any kind of bondage including the use of leashes.
Food and drinks, except water, are not permitted in any of the classrooms. Exceptions for medical reason should get prior approval. Excessive talking or distractions during the workshop must be avoided.
If you enter a play space, you agree to that you have read, understood and will follow the rules contained in this Play Space Policy.
The Host Hotel has facilities where alcohol is available for purchase by those legally allowed to purchase and consume alcohol in the State of Florida. The event will also host events where alcohol is served and/or is available for purchase by those legally allowed to purchase and consume alcohol in the State of Florida. If you are caught illegally purchasing or consuming alcohol in the event or on the Host Hotel property, you will be ejected from the event and the premises. You are expected to consume alcohol responsibly. If you appear to be intoxicated or under the influence of alchol and or drugs (including prescription drugs) during the event, and your behavior interferes with enjoyment and/or safety of others, or with your own safety, you will be asked to remove yourself from the event floor including the Play Spaces. If you fail ro remove yourself when requested to do so, you will be ejected from the event.
Certain activities within the Play Spaces are prohibited at this event. This includes kidnapping fantasy role play, prostitution role play, and any scene involving open fire, including but not limited to, fire play, fire cupping, and open flame wax play. Any electrical devices shall not be connected to any portion of the anatomy above the waist and must be connected to a GFI. Please check with the DM regarding the specific rules for edge play in the Play Spaces.
Prostitution, solicitation and negotiation of payment for sexual services are illegal and violators will be ejected from the premises immediately.
Unless you are a registered vendor with The Journey! Leather Conference, you are not permitted to vend anywhere within the hotel, or within on the hotel’s property, including your room and the parking lot. Vending by registered vendors is allowed only within the Marketplace. Violators of this policy will be ejected from the premises.
You acknowledge and agree that the activities in which you may participate freely and of your own will, are activities that may involve risks which may result in injury. You acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for covering any cost personally or through your own insurance of any medical attention you may need as a result of any activities you engage in during any The Journey! Leather Conference event.
If a medical emergency occurs during the event, please remain clear of the area. Let the appropriate staff members and public safety personnel do their jobs.
By attending the The Journey! Leather Conference, you acknowledge that you are 19 years of age as of July 23, 2020, registered for the event in your legal name and have read and agree to all the rules and policies. Additionally you understand that you assume all risk incident to your attendance at this event.
You further acknowledge that you are familiar with and understand that the subject matter and nature of this event is between willing and consenting adults. Additionally, you understand and accept all liability regarding your attendance at The Journey! Leather Conference. Finally, you accept all liability and hold harmless The Journey! Leather Conference, its officers, owners, staff, agents and volunteers from any and all liability.
Federal, state and local laws may override our rules and policies. Obey all federal, state and local law ordinances.
